For time immemorial, humanity has struggled with the ultimate question: Is a given book cheaper to buy from amazon.com or amazon.co.uk? This page is my attempt to provide an answer to that question.
It's a laborious process to manually compare prices of books on the two sites, since one must convert English pounds to euros, American dollars to euros, try to remember how much each site charges for shipping per-book and per-order, calculate proper VAT to add to the price while keeping in mind that orders from amazon.com that would have a VAT of under 10€ are exempted, and so on.
This page automates all that drudgery. You simply enter the price of each book in both shop's native currency and magic elves (or, if you prefer reality, JavaScript) do the rest. Note that the results are only correct for Finland.
