I first tried to read this book about 15 years ago, but had to give it up because the scene where the werewolf comes into the cellar was just too scary for me back then. Now, the only thought that scene gave me is "The werewolf must be moving at 1km/h if it can't catch the boys in that tiny cellar". The whole plot of the book is absurdly bad; evil movie villains seem like masters of organization compared to the mistakes It makes in this book. If it wanted, it could have killed them all in page one, but no, for some reason it always just fails and then strings them along until they finally defeat it.
