I watched 'Sex And The City' on TV on the same day that I had read one of the more disturbing stories in this book. It's interesting to compare the these two as both portray people seeking happiness in New York city, but are separated by 40 years and very different viewpoints. The optimist in me hopes that SATC would be the one closer to reality, but the pessimist in me fears that this book is the winner in that category.
