I thought for ages that this was an excellent book, but no more. A lame anti-Vietnam tirade, with some very sketchy future human societies thrown in the mix. The anti-Vietnam aspect I couldn't care less about, and the "human society is infinitely malleable" has been entirely discredited by evolutionary biology.
