Author: Alissa Quart

Full of unsubstantiated hyperbole. Every other sentence is about how the world was a better place when the author was a teenager in the 1980's, and how everything has now turned into shit. It's funny how she offers no real evidence for any of this, just anecdotes and random interviews. I especially like how she damns teenage book writers for caring about their sales, yet what was Quart herself doing just a while back here in Helsinki if not promoting her book? It's the age-old problem: You can't be a famous anti-brand person without becoming a brand yourself, hence negating everything you stand for.
