The above quote from Allie Fox, the main character of the book, is a perfect summary of his attitude. Though he says it in the context of a river journey, you get the feeling he has the same approach to everything else, too. A truly paranoid person, who has managed to half-convince his family that he's right. A really fun book to read, where you don't have a clue what's going to happen next, and that's really refreshing.
