I had high hopes for this book after reading a lot of praise for it. So the way the book turned out to be was a big disappointment for me. The first couple of stories are lame Stephen King wannabes, only lacking everything that makes King's stories good. It doesn't get any better after that. In fact, I was left wondering why this book is referred to as science fiction. I don't classify stories about ghouls wandering in abandoned train stations, or stories about werewolves in USA in the sixties as science fiction. It's probably because the last story, the Tabitha Jute one, resembles science fiction somewhat.
